Soft cinnamon rolls are the ones I make when the house needs to smell like Saturday. Yeast dough, not the shortcut biscuit kind. The filling is just soft butter mashed with brown sugar and cinnamon, nothing fancy. I roll tight so the spirals stay neat after baking. Overnight in the fridge works if you want them first thing; cold dough takes a bit longer to puff in the morning. Icing goes on while they are still warm so it melts into the cracks. Leave one for yourself before they vanish.
