Easy Sausage Rolls
By Jordan Lee ·
Easy sausage rolls, the kind you get warm in a paper bag from a British bakery. Shop bought puff pastry is completely fine here, nobody makes their own for these. The filling is where you can do better than the bakery. Good pork sausages squeezed out of their skins, a little grated onion, sage, a spoon of mustard and some breadcrumbs to keep it juicy. The one tip I'd give: chill the rolled logs before you cut and bake them. Cold pastry puffs up tall and flaky. Warm pastry just slumps and leaks fat onto the tray.
