Easy Homemade Guacamole

   Prep the avocados** Halve, pit, and scoop flesh into a bowl. Add lime juice right away and toss so cut surfaces are coated.

   Mash for easy homemade guacamole

   Mash with a fork to a chunky texture. Leave some pieces. Don't puree.

   Add mix-ins

   Fold in onion, tomato, jalapeño, garlic, salt, cumin, coriander, and black pepper.

   Taste and adjust

   Dip a chip and taste. Need more lime or salt? Add a little at a time. Guacamole should taste bright, not flat.

   Serve

   Transfer to a bowl. Press plastic wrap directly on the surface if it sits more than 20 minutes.

   Optional heat

   Keep some jalapeño seeds if you want more kick. Start mild. You can always add.
